This work represents the way in which the people of the world see Cuba (the artist country), as a beautiful and elegant woman, but at the same time she is trapped in a prison of material and spiritual deficiencies, it is seen in the way that she has a shoe heel in her mouth, referring to the last resource she has left, which is to taste her shoes since there is nothing else.
